This delightful natural orange Petnat from Tuscany’s Arezzo area combines electric drinkability and surprising depth due to the double harvest it comes from. It’s 100% Trebbiano partially harvested early to preserve freshness and acidity and partially in surmaturation to imbue it with complexity and power. The masses ferment separately with native yeasts and see a skin contact of 1 month before being assembled; the second fermentation is then kick-started by adding must of the typical sweet Vin Santo. Lightness and potency intertwine with bitter orange marmalade, oregano, star anise and toasted almonds.
