Austere, powerful and deeply complex, this is 100% Barbera from old vines from this reclusive yet revolutionary natural wine pioneer in Piedmont’s Colli Tortonesi hills. Born from respectful farming that goes well beyond organic, it sees no trickery in the cellar and lets terroir speak. It macerates on the skins for 15 days with a submerged cap and ages for 2 years in small local barrels. It speaks of austere pride and vibrant character: woodland red fruits with exotic musks and dried bougainvillea petals to the front, fresh and silky palate with spices and dark berries.
