RIPAZZO ROSATO 18
The wine’s name is a play on words that mixes the “ripasso” technique with “pazzo” (crazy), pointing to the quirky character of this uniquely delicious wine. In its first vintage it was born out of a wine which couldn’t finish to ferment properly and was re-ignited by the skins of the new vintage. This is a double somersault take on rosè, as it’s born out of Litrozzo Rosato 2018 (Aleatico, Sangiovese, Merlot, Procanico) with a “ripasso” on the skins of the same 2019. The result is a fiery, supremely drinkable gem of beautiful aromatic fruit and light spiciness: fresh gooseberry, smoked watermelon with lime juice and rind, pickled red currants.
