This true “black swan” of a natural wine sublimes the French influence of Le Coste through a deeply local Lazio lens. It’s 100% Pinot Noir from a selection massale of an ancient Alsace clone, grown organically in the “Piancabella” cru, rich with dark volcanic earth and at almost 500 m of elevation. The grapes ferment naturally in whole bunches for about 3 weeks. Delicately herbal and spiced with sharply focused fruit of great character and depth: black purson prunes, green peppercorns, red autumn flowers and bergamot rind.
