LE PRIMEUR POUR LES FILLES 2019
This most local and sincere of Lazio’s red varieties, Aleatico, sees in this inspired interpretation a French twist since it undergoes carbonic maceration for 2-3 weeks before being pressed and meditating until bottling in the Spring. It’s unabashedly and headily sexy with tropical red flowers and maracuja on the nose, yet crunchy and deeply and eloquent on the palate with pomegranate confit and smoked cherries.
