ROSSO FC2 2017
An unbelievably bright and fresh natural red that speaks with utmost sincerity of vital earth and bountiful fruit. It’s 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot from a young biodynamic cru made of clay-limestone soil at the feet of Veneto’s stunning Colli Berici hills. It’s hand-harvested in early September and ferments wildly and joyously with its own skins for 15 days in cement vats. It then ages in large wood until bottling in December of the following year. No added SO2 and plenty of punch: crunchy blackberries with just a hint of tarragon and pink pepper, ethereal balsamic notes and smoked watermelon.
