This stunningly elegant and chiseled Pinot Noir from Frederic Cossard is a unique beauty of Bourgogne natural Pinot Noir. It comes from a selection of grapes from organically farmed 40 years old vines in Volnay and a 50 years old venerable parcel in Nuits-Saints-Georges. After spontaneous fermentation the grapes spend about a month on the skins in open vats before pressing and aging in barrels. This is a heavenly creature of suave finesse and mystical profundity: cassis with West Indian spices, forest floor, dried mulberry, incense and red currants.
