VITA BELLA 2016
Vita Bella, meaning “beautiful life” in Italian, is composed of 2 most ancient Tuscan varieties, also part of the Chianti blend, Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo. They come from the single cru “Ventoforte” on a hill surrounded by woods, and are farmed according to strict biodynamic ethos. The grapes ferment spontaneously with no temperature control and with 50% of the mass in whole bunches. Elevage in old wood and no fining, filtration or added SO2. This red natural wine is rustically sincere, direct yet refined: grilled bergamot peel, raising, red plums, dried basil and nutmeg.
